I think there are 2 reasons why these bottles can not be stored compressed air: 1) head in the air compressor (the use of contractors type nail guns) does not match that of the bottle 2) Air is 74% nitrogen gas (N2), which is a smaller molecule and so will leak out of my head. Moreover, most nitro tank with regulatory bodies outside of them so that the air pressure behind the 3000psi or 4500psi levels down at the levels that 600psi is much more friendly to the gun. Check with the guys filling the tanks of CO2 and see if you have can be filled and if so, what pressure. Maybe the air was compressed to a level or 800psi something, but remember you probably will not have a lot of shots that, compared to someone with a bigger bottle, with a lot more pressure there ...
